Helena and Julia's parents. Andrew is the conflict-averse laidback dad who just wants everyone to get along but can't muster up a stronger emotion than mildly inconvenienced when no one does. Rose is a wine mom who loves nothing more than to spend the evening unwinding in the bath with an overfilled glass and expects her children to succeed both because she loves them and for bragging rights with her book club friends. While Helena was always eager to rise to the challenge, Julia is less interested in pursuing her mom's idea of success, and they often clash as a result.
